Using Pinterest for Weight Loss Inspiration

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Pinterest is a great place to get and stay inspired on your weight loss journey.

Not familiar with Pinterest? It’s a social media site that’s based on images. Think of it as a collection of digital cork boards.

Pinterest is made up of millions of digital boards, each one including images (called “pins”) that are all about the same topic. So you can have a board, for example, called Vacation Fantasies that includes pinned images of all the places you’d like to go on vacation someday. Or you can have a board called Arts & Crafts that includes pins of pictures of projects you’d like to try to make.

If you’re looking for weight loss inspiration, Pinterest is a great place to hang out online, because it’s so visual. In fact, you can’t share anything on Pinterest unless it’s accompanied by an image like this one:

You’ll need an account to play around with Pinterest, but it’s totally free. You can sign up with an email address and a password or just use your Facebook account to gain access.

Once you’ve joined Pinterest, you can search for topics such as weight loss inspiration, healthy eating, weight loss tips and tricks, weight loss motivation, weight loss videos or before and after pictures.

Here are some inspiring and informational Pinterest boards to get you started:

Once you start looking at all the inspiring and inspirations images on other people’s boards, you’ll probably want to become a Pinner yourself. It’s easy to start a few boards of your own with images that inspire you to regain your health. While you’re there, we hope you’ll follow us on Pinterest.
